Exp Federal delivers full-service Architectural & Engineering and Design-Build solutions. We are growing and adding several disciplines of drafters to our design practice. You will be part of an expanding team that works collaboratively across our wider exp Federal design studios. As part of a project team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that keep you engaged and showcase your individual talents. Principle Areas of Responsibility:

  • Utilize industry-standard modeling and productivity software and equipment to create and modify architectural documents and working drawings.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design staff to produce building designs that are coherent and feasible.
  • Draw detailed and rough scale plans, sections, and elevations for various structures, based upon preliminary concepts, sketches, specifications, calculations, and other provided data as communicated by senior design staff.
  • Acquire and assemble the information needed to finish architectural drawings and visit job sites when necessary to gather required information.
  • Assist Architects during preliminary design phases by creating on-the-fly design sketches and models for analysis and modification.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers, production technicians, and clients as necessary to identify design problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Assist in ongoing projects to standardize and unify design document standards by participating in meetings and preparing presentation materials as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an architectural drafter
  • 1+ years of experience with Autodesk Revit software
  • 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, and Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited university, with the ability to obtain RA license.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Acrobat
  • Production use and understanding of REVIT required.
  • Strong attention to detail and mathematical abilities
  • Able to work within strict deadlines.
  • Excellent technical communication skills with Architects, Engineers, and project management personnel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing A&E services on Design-Build, Commercial Building, and Federal contracts.

Salary Range:

This position has an annual range of $60,000.00 To $75,000.00. The actual hourly is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
