A Day in the Life as a Graphic Designer

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a key role in developing and executing creative projects that support Girbau North America (GNA) and its divisions. The full list of responsibilities includes:

  • Creative & Graphic Design
    • Design and deploy email marketing campaigns for lead generation
    • Create messaging and visuals for our social media platforms
    • Design marketing materials for customers as well as our company-owned distributorship and laundromat
    • Develop corporate sales tools, including warranties, data sheets, comparisons, forms & case studies
    • Support internal departments (e.g., Finance, HR) with creative materials development utilizing branding guidelines
    • Manage machine branding, ensure creative alignment with brand guidelines & maintain decal inventory
    • Oversee the Customer Signage Program, handling design, customization & production of signs, displays & decals
    • Manage the Distributor Direct Mail Program, including estimating, design, production, mailing & invoicing
  • Trade Show & Event Support
    • Design booth elements: graphic displays, digital screens, signage, labels
    • Assist with trade show promotional giveaway needs
    • Attend and support at distributor trade show shows as needed
  • Project Management & Administrative
    • Manage project workflow, balancing company priorities, client needs & budgets while meeting deadlines
    • Prepare final materials for production & coordinate shipping logistics as needed
    • Communicate with vendors and handle estimating & invoicing for projects, including processing vendor invoices
    • Work directly with customers to gather project requirements, review proofs & secure approvals
    • Support additional projects & tasks as assigned

What You Need

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design or related field. .
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently on projects.
  • Strong creative and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design functions.
  • Proficient in use of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
