UI/UX Designer, IS&T Applied Machine Learning Job at Apple Inc. in Austin

Apple's Applied Machine Learning (AML) team is seeking a User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) Designer. You possess a strong passion for great design, a superb aesthetic sense, and meticulous attention to detail with a deep appreciation for user experience in data analysis. You have the ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex matters into clean, understandable solutions. We are involved in building innovative AI & Machine Learning platforms enabling the enterprise to make millions of transactions with sub-second latencies. Description

You will be interacting with multi-functional business teams globally to understand requirements and business processes, and come up with strategies to optimize user experience. This will involve conducting interviews with business users to develop user personas, wireframes, and web mockups. Collaborate with engineering teams to communicate design details and validate work if necessary. Present strategies and high-level plans to senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

• Delivering wireframes, UX flows, mockups, interactive prototypes, design specifications, and final assets
• Personas and use case development
• Work closely with business analysts and partners in driving user goals
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor Science Degree or equivalent experience in Human Machine Interface design or similar focus
• Lead focus groups, AB testing, and usability tests for cross-platform responsive web applications for mobile, tablet, and desktop
• Data visualization technologies such as Tableau, Superset, etc.
• Gamification of mundane features (Social gaming experience is a plus)
• Collaborate with a team of designers and offshore developers
• Website performance optimization using techniques such as CSS sprites and minification
• Identity design such as logo and print marketing material
• Background in traditional art, 3D modeling, and visual effects programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, After Effects, Maya, ZBrush, Axure RP, Omnigraffle, Tableau, Keynote, Pages, Skitch
