Working within Appian’s Marketing team, the Sr. Event Marketing Manager will assist in the global strategy, planning, and execution of a variety of in-person marketing programs including tradeshows and industry conferences. This role will also manage operational, implementation and post-program activities including lead formatting, program analysis, budget reconciliation and ROI reports. This role is based at our HQ in McLean, VA. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. To be successful in this role, you need:
Proven success crafting and executing strategic, results-driven marketing programs and pipeline generation and growth. Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Salesforce.com to analyze campaign data and track/measure marketing initiatives. Strong executive presence with the ability to confidently present to and engage with leadership teams, effectively commanding the room and driving strategic discussions. To collaborate with and provide tactical marketing direction to jointly build integrated marketing campaign plans. To independently manage all aspects of 3rd party anchor trade shows, including strategy, planning, execution, and post-event analysis. To support the planning and execution of global Appian conferences in US and EMEA. To track and report on key performance indicators and analyze program results and pipeline measurement. Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in an event management role at an enterprise software organization. Strong leadership characteristics and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge & experience with using Event Marketing & Management solutions (Cvent). Knowledge & experience with these types of tools & technologies – CRM (Salesforce), Marketing Automation (Pardot), Travel & Expense Management (Concur & Allocadia) and other marketing technologies is a plus.
