JOB TITLE: UX Researcher IV LOCATION: Onsite Burlingame, CA (3 days in office) DURATION: 6 month contract PAY RANGE: $84 - $94/hr TOP 3 SKILLS: 4+ years of industry experience, but would be open to candidates with PhD experience Strong capacity to think strategically about consumer needs (preferred) Previous experience working with VR COMPANY: Our client is a Fortune 500 multi-national technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, CA. Job Description: As a UX researcher on World AI, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the development of new cutting-edge experiences that help us bring the physical world into VR, MR, and AR experiences. Research is paramount to this team’s success - formative research is needed to drive product strategy and confirm the usability of entirely new experiences on cutting-edge hardware. You will be helping to shape the future of experiences that change how people see, navigate, and engage with the world around them. The ideal candidate is a VR experienced researcher with strong tactical experience in usability research and capable of running their own research for iterative development. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, PMs & engineers to identify, define and deliver meaningful products into the world. Collaboratively and independently develop research studies and programs. Lead various research studies throughout all the phases of the product development cycle. Skills: Strong ability to develop and lead usability testing for software and hardware experiences. Strong ability to maintain research programming through product iterations. Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Experience with data and utilizing numbers to define and support hypotheses. Experience with autonomy and decision making to prioritize research study focus. Previous experience working in the space of VR. Education/Experience: BA/BS in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics. Must haves: 4+ years of industry experience, but would be open to candidates with PhD experience. Experience with running usability testing. Strong ability to present needs and iterations.
