ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Young Women’s Designer to support our premier retail client’s Apparel Design team with sketching, hand-offs, PLM management, meeting preparation, and sample organization. This is a great opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented designer to contribute to an established brand in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a 2-month contract opportunity, working hybrid (onsite M-R) in the greater Milwaukee area.
Key Responsibilities: Create detailed fashion sketches and technical drawings to support the design team. Assist with hand-offs (H/O's), ensuring smooth communication between design and production teams. Manage and update OnePLM system with accurate product details and design specifications. Prepare materials for meetings, including presentation boards and design concepts. Maintain and organize sample rooms, ensuring samples are readily available for review. Conduct trend research to support seasonal collections and new product development. Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, production, and sourcing teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 1+ years of experience in apparel design, preferably in the young women’s market. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems (OnePLM experience preferred). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
