Located in Beaverton, OR 6 month contract (full time hours) - covering a leave Hybrid $49/hr

Must Have: 2+ YOE in pattern making for the fashion or technical design industry Experience with pattern softwares like CLO or Optitex Creating technical fit documents for garments, working on a wide variety of clothing types and styles Attending fit sessions with design teams

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? The Technical Designer II supports the fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization of styles to lead the on time development and delivery according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance and profitability goals. The Technical Designer II helps coordinate fit sessions, takes notes and supports the larger Technical Design team to complete tech packs for our Product Creation Center (Asia) teams. They will have a small style count with low/mid complexity and will track and facilitate prototyping for those styles also. They will have a foundational knowledge of patterns, garment construction, graphic execution and be able to convey comments through both written and verbal communication. They will be able to identify and communicate basic fit issues and have an understanding of graded nests/markers. They will feel comfortable to seek out resources internally to continue their fit / pattern education through trainings, mentorship and special projects.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING? • Bachelor's degree in apparel design, textile science or related field. • Two years additional product creation experience may be considered in lieu of a degree • 2+ years technical design experience in the apparel industry, which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including pattern making, grading, construction, materials, costing, manufacturing and quality. • Strong organization and communication skills. • Experience interpreting design intent. • Experience writing product specs and construction standards instructions. • Experience using Adobe Illustrator, CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex) and 3D software (Clo/Browzwear) highly desired. • Proficiency with MS Office programs. • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (domestic and international).
