Scientist in High-Content Screenings

This position is ideal for an individual who is entrepreneurial and eager to learn and grow exponentially within a collaborative and supportive team of fellow scientists and engineers.In this role, you will:
Develop strategies for and establish high-content assaysCollaborate with Retro’s lab automation, reprogramming and computational teamsImplement in vivo and in vitro CRISPRa/i, ORF assays with sequencing readoutAnalyze and present experimental data to internal teams and collaboratorsPerform, analyze and interpret pooled and arrayed genome perturbations (knockout, knockdown, and over-expression) screens to support discovery projectsPrimary qualifications:
Ph.D. or equivalent 3-8 years of intensive, relevant research experienceIndustry experience is a plusExperience with generating and analyzing next-generation sequencing dataProven track record of developing and executing novel high-throughput, high-content and/or pooled assays in mammalian cellsExperience with single-cell, high-throughput assaysCell biology expertise including cell culture, viral transduction, transfectionMolecular biology experience including construct design and DNA cloningExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work efficiently and productively in a dynamic, scientifically rigorous, and fast-paced environmentKnowledge of immunology is a plusYou may be a good match for this role if:

We work on (1) partial reprogramming, (2) blood factors, and (3) autophagy to rejuvenate cell and tissue function with the ultimate aim of adding years to healthy human lifespan. We are looking to expand our exceptional team at our Redwood City location. The annual salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. Total compensation also includes generous equity and benefits.
