commercetools is looking for a Senior Events Marketer to join our global Corporate Events team. Our Corporate Events team plans, executes, and owns a range of in-person events including our annual user conference Elevate and our presence at various large-scale industry trade shows.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Global Events, working closely with all departments in the organization with a special focus on collaborating with the Field and Partner Marketing teams.If you find joy in the details, live by a schedule, and planning a hosted conference for 1,000+ attendees is a 'been there, done that' for you, you might be just who we are looking for!
Your Mission:
Leverage superior project management, organization, and communication skills to ensure seamless execution across all eventsHelp grow our flagship user conference Elevate - The Global Commerce Summit including stakeholder and agency management, internal communication, speaker handling, run of show development, sponsorships, registration, promotion, venue selection, accommodation, contracts, budget, mobile app strategy, and productionManage all aspects of large industry events and trade shows, including negotiating contracts, budget, managing vendors & internal stakeholders, developing promotional materials, collaborating with the sales team, building internal event documents, booth design and messaging, staff scheduling, travel arrangements, owning meeting schedule, shipping, logistics, and on-site supportCreate and implement strategies (pre-, post-, and during events) to drive lead generation and engagement across eventsAudit calendar of currently-planned events against strategic criteria to determine audience fit; identify potential new event opportunities against strategic criteria and vertical marketing plans to ensure commercetools is present at the right conferences in the right locationsTrack key performance metrics related to event success, such as lead generation, attendee engagement, attendee surveys, and ROIProvide post-event analysis and insights to continually optimize future event strategiesDevelop and manage event budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve desired outcomesCreate processes and templates to streamline execution and internal alignment.Build the bridge between internal stakeholders, such as sales, finance, legal, customer success, marketing, partner, sales, and our external vendors and suppliersWhat you need to succeed:
5+ years of experience managing hosted large-scale (1,000+ attendees) and complex events (e.g. multi-day, hybrid, sponsorship, multiple content streams) for a B2B technology entity and/or event production agency experienceAttention to detail and organizational skills, especially around time-sensitive activities on a global basisTime management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with Project Management and CRM software (e.g., JIRA, Hubspot, Asana, Salesforce)Willingness to travel to events as neededNice to have:

US Pay Range
$90,000-$120,000 USD
