SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:Travel by personal vehicle, in all seasons, within your service area to recruit and provide services to participants. Applicants are required to have access to a safe and reliable personal vehicle and will be reimbursed mileage for official travel to selected high schools in Big Horn, Johnson, and Natrona Counties.Provide training to program and activity support staff and supervise hourly staff.Serve on committees and represent the project at meetings and events.Work effectively under distance supervision.After-school and some evening and weekend hours required to provide effective services during the academic year and more regularly during the summer residential program taking place in Laramie, WY.Plan and administer specific initiatives and take on other duties as required.In- and out-of-state overnight travel to professional conferences and trainings.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to recruit eligible and suitable participants for program participation and to build and maintain positive and productive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.Knowledge of the barriers to academic success and college access commonly found among first generation/low-income students.Experience designing, preparing, and delivering educational workshops and course curriculum.Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.Familiarity or experience working with federal educational grants under accountability standards.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to foster a pleasant and cooperative work environment.Experience planning, organizing, and implementing both small-scale and large-scale events.Proven ability to motivate students to undertake actions and activities that promote their academic and personal success.Proficient in Microsoft office programs and comfortable learning new software.
