The incumbent for this position will work in ZRT’s CLIA certified high complexity clinical and research laboratory. Duties will include the following:
New method development and improvement
Staff training of advanced immunochemistry processes
Conference attendance and presentations of work
Assay and instrument review and troubleshooting
Implementation of preventative and corrective measures
Reviewing and tracking assay performance data
Creating and maintaining detailed SOPs
Responsibilities:
Oversee immunochemistry laboratory operations, including 96-well ELISA & CLIA, immunoassay and chemistry analyzers.
Facilitate communication between laboratory staff and leadership team.
Oversee daily activities and training of immunochemistry team.
Assure conformance to state and federal laboratory testing regulations.
Establish and monitor quality control and assurance procedures.
Organize and review immunochemistry proficiency and accuracy testing.
Manage process improvement for current immunochemistry assays.
Oversee the development, management, and validation of new immunochemistry assays.
Work as part of a team dedicated to ensuring quick turn-around-time for all clinical and research samples.
Work with IT, marketing and sales teams to prepare tests for commercialization.
Ensure equipment and inventory is properly maintained.
Creation and maintenance of SOPs.
Attend local and national conferences.
Conduct periodic presentations.
Requirements:
PhD in biochemistry or other life science.
Minimum five years of immunochemistry and clinical laboratory experience.
Preferred Skills:
Supervisory experience.
High complexity laboratory testing.
Research & development experience.
