Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:As the Marketing Manager you will support all brand categories across Work, Hunt and Lifestyle for Irish Setter. Developing, implementing, and managing annual marketing plans, programs, and strategies to grow the brand. This position will have an active role in building the brand, storytelling, launching new products, building retail and channel programs, and championing the voice of our consumers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESContribute to the strategic planning for the Irish Setter business, representing the brand through voice-of-consumer, competitive observations and intelligence, and broader category trends; actively participate in the development of the annual marketing planning process. Drive strategic marketing plan implications, optimizations, and deployments across all marketing channels for the brand.Responsible for the development, production and execution of all integrated marketing campaigns and programs, and the assets required to drive brand goals aligned with the broader Irish Setter marketing team; drive the creative briefing process.Responsible for the development and day-to-day management of the Irish Setter marketing calendar, with ongoing and appropriate updates throughout the fiscal year to ensure team-wide alignment.Develop and deliver channel marketing programs, in partnership with Wholesale Sales and Product Merchant teams, to support our most critical wholesale distribution partners (farm & ranch, independents, big box, etc.), plus Red Wing Store and ecommerce channels.Support the development of a marketing reporting cadence, inclusive of channel performance insights. Evaluate marketing performance data, competitive market data and consumer engagement across marketing channels to influence future project work.Develop insights in support of business and brand objectives inclusive of ongoing competitive and best-in-class benchmarking to identify market opportunities.Lead the development and production of key marketing/sales support programs, working closely with product merchant and sales teams.Demonstrated experience in product commercialization and GTM processes, from product briefing to consumer launch, including sales and retail support programs.Serve as the day-to-day liaison and contact for all internal marketing services, agency and vendor/partner resources (inclusive of design, social media, public relations, digital, etc.).Responsible for management of approved marketing budgets, scopes-of-work, and other, additional marketing efforts in alignment with the approved fiscal marketing plan.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Business, Marketing or a related area of study and 5-10 years of progressively more senior marketing responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in footwear, apparel or with other related brands; demonstrated engagement in the category, keeping up-to-date on consumer trends, reading relevant blogs, etc.Experiences and accomplishments leading channel marketing programs.Experience with content development and integration across digital channels, including but not limited to in store/owned site/search/social.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESInnovative thinker and creative problem solver with a willingness and proven ability to challenge the status quo with multiple unknown inputs as the organization evolves to a more contemporary practice.Strong inter-personal skills with demonstrated team leadership skills; adept at successfully integrating internal and external resources within a highly matrixed environment.Ability to execute innovative and results-focused marketing programs and campaigns consistent with marketing best practices.Effective written, oral and presentation skills.
