Job Title: Technical Writer

Job Description

Collaborate with the engineering team to author, review, and update technical documentation related to equipment, controls, and software. This includes life cycle documents such as User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Detailed Specifications (FDS), Software Detailed Specifications (SDS), Hardware Detailed Specifications (HDS), traceability matrices, test plans, and technical memos. Support engineering functions in the CR generation process and ensure accuracy and consistency of all technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Generate architectural diagrams, data flow diagrams, network diagrams, and system diagrams.
• Create detailed process maps and templates for troubleshooting and training materials.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of technical documentation.
• Route documentation for approval and submit documents in the quality management systems.
• Manage technical document workflow for assigned projects.
• Support controls engineering in producing, editing, reviewing test plans, test scripts, and forms.
• Author technical training documents for existing or new systems.
• Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to develop specifications for manufacturing functions, user interface, and quality control.

• Proficiency in technical writing.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and medical device documentation.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in collaborating with engineering teams for documentation purposes.
• Capability to generate various types of technical diagrams and process maps.
• Experience in managing document workflow and quality management systems.
  
  

Work Environment

Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to understand process requirements. Utilize various software tools for documentation and diagram creation. Maintain a professional standard in all documentation processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr.
