The Manager of Social Media is responsible for managing the efficacy of the resort’s social media strategy across relevant social channels for maximum exposure. With the objective of growth, but also greater engagement, this role provides strategy, insight, guidance, and daily management of all social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, along with a Social Influencer program. This role also manages social listening tools such as Talkwalker, Hootsuite, and Olapic, with the goal of providing daily reports, handling responses both online and offline, and alerting the operations and executive teams to opportunities and issues for effective management. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing strategic content calendars and producing and posting content.
The production component of this role specifically relates to paid social video and carousel creative. The Manager creates short videos and photo vignettes attached to offers to continually drive sales to key audiences outside of the organic following on Atlantis and Cove social platforms. These videos and vignettes have a shelf life of two weeks and require refreshing when new deals are introduced, often 1-2 times per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase Atlantis social awareness and brand perception through various channels.
- Create, publish, and manage daily social posts, including custom gifs, images, and videos.
- Nurture a strong network and increase brand awareness by telling the Atlantis story and connecting to our community through social platforms.
- Become an Atlantis brand ambassador both online and offline, engaging in dialogues and answering questions appropriately.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the resort and provide proactive assistance to customers using clear and concise communication.
- Possess extensive knowledge of social media platforms and analytical skills to utilize each platform effectively in different scenarios.
- Deliver monthly reports reviewing social media performance, growth, and opportunities.
- Exhibit strong writing skills, including spelling, grammar, and authentic voice across multiple channels.
- Assist with daily engagement on all Atlantis social media accounts, including content posting, guest questions, and tweeting.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience leading and executing social media or marketing strategies for a leading brand.
- Proven ability to create copy, imagery, and video content supporting targeted audiences and goals.
- Hands-on experience with publishing tools for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., and using measurement tools.
- Proficiency in design programs such as Photoshop.
- Proficiency in video editing software for social content creation.
