As a Senior Audiovisual Designer at BranchPattern, you will be responsible for designing and specifying audiovisual systems for a wide range of projects. You will work closely with our clients, architects, and engineers to develop customized AV solutions that meet their unique needs. Your expertise in audiovisual technology, along with your creative and technical skills, will be critical in delivering high-quality, innovative AV designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Analysis:
Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand their audiovisual requirements, goals, and constraints. Conduct site surveys and assess existing AV infrastructure when necessary.
AV System Design:
Create comprehensive audiovisual system designs, including audio systems, video displays, control systems, and networking infrastructure, ensuring they align with industry standards and best practices.
Technical Documentation:
Generate detailed AV system schematics, equipment lists, and wiring diagrams. Prepare accurate project documentation, including scope of work, design reports, and technical specifications.
Vendor and Equipment Selection:
Evaluate and select appropriate AV equipment and technology solutions from reputable vendors. Develop equipment budgets and procurement plans.
Collaboration:
Differentiate with responsiveness. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to integrate AV systems seamlessly within building designs.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct quality control checks during the design phase and oversee the installation process to ensure the final AV systems meet design specifications and client expectations.
Technology Trends:
Stay current with emerging audiovisual technologies and industry trends, providing innovative solutions that enhance the firm's competitive edge.
Client Relations:
Maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns, and ensuring project objectives are met or exceeded.
Mentoring and Leadership:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior audiovisual designers, fostering their professional growth and development.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in audiovisual system design.
Proficiency in audiovisual design software and tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, D-Tools, or equivalent.
In-depth knowledge of audiovisual technologies, including audio processing, video codecs, control systems, and networking.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Adept problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in audiovisual system design for diverse projects, including corporate offices, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, etc.
Industry certifications (e.g., CTS-D) are highly desirable.
