Overview
The Promotion Associate is responsible for driving brand presence and increasing sales for BBG brands through participation in creative and impactful in-store/market events. They will attend targeted promotions in the field, engaging consumers and building relationships with them and our brands.
Position Details
Pay Rate: $24 per hour / $48 per two-hour shift
Hours Available: Wed - Fri 4pm - 6pm and 6pm - 8pm; Sat and Sun 12pm - 8pm
Responsibilities
- Achieve sell-through from all new distribution and select items by collaborating with account staff to identify opportunities, complete surveys, and track bottles sold per hour during events.
- Educate clients, account staff, and other Promotion Associates on assigned labels.
- Monitor inventory levels and alert the National Account Manager to out-of-stock situations or fluctuations.
- Maintain account standards and use effective point-of-sale materials to maximize brand visibility.
- Work cohesively with personnel, including chain staff, distributors, and suppliers, to increase brand sales and ensure successful promotions.
- Deliver exceptional customer care aligned with account standards and guidance.
- Attend educational workshops, brand training, and review professional publications to stay industry knowledgeable.
- Complete all required training programs and pass associated assessments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic PC skills, including MS Office and presentation software.
- Results-oriented with strong communication, customer service, and discretion skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently or in a team, and meet deadlines.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Understanding of wine, beer, and spirits; experience in wine sales/service preferred.
- Strong accounting, technical, customer service, and interpersonal skills preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Remain stationary at times, communicate effectively, and operate a computer and phone.
Competencies
- Accountable for meeting targets; work is periodically reviewed.
- Routine problem-solving with readily available solutions.
