General Duties and Responsibilities:
The Communications & Content Manager will lead in the development of an annual content calendar for our social channels, produce a slate of monthly newsletters for different audiences, and act as the main point of contact for social influencer and travel writer partnerships. The Manager will work closely with the VP for Tourism, the Social Media Manager, other internal staff, stakeholder partners, and our vendor network to execute and synchronize communications efforts across all social, email, and website channels. This position will supervise the Social Media Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:
– A love of Greater Burlington and everything it has to offer.
– Strong copywriting skills
– Ability to internalize our growing brand and articulate it to our email subscribers and social media community.
– Experience managing freelance content creators.
– Experience developing and managing a content schedule targeting multiple audiences.
– Ability to tailor content for specific social media platforms.
– Experience running Meta ad campaigns and analyzing the results thereof is helpful.
– Ability to respond quickly, effectively, and respectfully to interaction online.
– Ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities, and strong attention to detail required.
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
– Photography, Videography, and/or design skills are a plus.
Work Format:
Hybrid with at least two days in the downtown Burlington office.
Salary Range:
$55,000 to $60,000 with benefits
