FTS has an immediate opportunity for a Strategic Communications Manager in Northern Virginia.
The Strategic Communications Manager supports the Office of Facilities and Mission Delivery as an integral member of the Front Office Communications Team.
ResponsibilitiesTranslate programmatic information including Software user instructions into training materials for stakeholdersCoordinate with Real Property Program Office leadership to prioritize potential initiatives in the context of strategic drivers, identify and de-conflict cross-initiative schedules, and resources as neededIdentify key stakeholders impacted by business practice changesDevelop a change management strategy including key messages, communication channels, and milestone datesTranslate business process changes and program relevant information into conceptual graphics and diagrams for use in briefings and other communication channelsDevelop and distribute key message to a wide variety of stakeholders using a variety of communication techniques (briefings, discussions, website, SharePoint sites, posters, etc.)Provide communication, strategic, or programmatic support, as needed, in support of the Real Property ProgramResponsible for the design and delivery of a variety of communication materialsCreate proactive and responsive solutions to business needs and seize opportunities for continuous improvement in individual, team, business unit, and organizational processCoordinate with Program Office leadership to prioritize potential initiatives in the context of strategic drivers, identify and de-conflict cross-initiative schedules, and resources as neededDevelop customer-facing and partner-facing collateral and presentations as requiredBuild powerful communications through sound strategy and excellent executionOversee OFS brand strategy and ensure successful implementation
Required Skills/QualificationsTS/SCI with PolygraphBS/BA degree in any field10 years of relevant experienceStrong communication and writing skills with experience in tailoring messages to various audiencesAbility to research and draft original content for a variety of channels and communications mechanismsExcellent one-on-one and group presentation and facilitation skills requiredSolid project and time management skillsAbility to use communications media effectivelyExpertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Knowledge and experience of intelligence agencyExperience in strategic communications with the ability to plan, develop, design, revise, and corporate websites preferredFamiliarity with SharePointKnowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
