Job Summary
The Bravas Technician I is responsible for installing and servicing products at customer’s job site. Organizing supplies, products and transportation of high value equipment to job site. The Technician I must provide excellent quality of installation and customer experience while meeting industry standards, completing assigned projects on time and within or under budget.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Projector, flat panel, screen installation and calibration
- The management of van stock and tools as well as van maintenance and appearance
- Meet with project manager to ensure timeline and expectations.
- Communicate effectively with and take direction from Lead Technicians and Project Manager
- Review sales order, product list and scope of work prior to deploying equipment
- Clarify final placement of key components with communication from PM or customer
- Trim out speakers, CAT5/6, coax and camera placements
- Installation of in-ceiling/in-wall speaker installation
- Install/Setup home and light business network systems
- Set up, pre-configure and program networks, control systems, cameras and NVRs
- Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security
- Communicate with Project Manager on schedule and expected completion dates
- Daily updates to project documentation and work orders in job management software
- Accurate time clock entries and job costing
- Make decisions and be held accountable to Time and Materials
- On call rotation maybe required
- Local travel to job sites required
- Fiscal responsibility for all assets assigned and property within Technician’s care
- Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
- Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security
- Adherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic laws
- Must possess an understanding of all systems including audio, video, security, lighting, and integration of all installed brands
- Must be able to read home schematics, plans or blueprints
- Basic wiring and connectivity skills as it pertains to low voltage standards
- Trouble shooting skills are essential
- Prior experience in rough in and trim out work, preferably in custom integration or related industry.
- Strong understanding of wiring fundamentals and construction techniques.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to interact courteously with clients and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, particularly regarding key component placement and system wiring
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in low voltage systems is a plus.
- Experience with residential custom audio video needs
- Preferred experience with Savant and Lutron products
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to become competent in in-house job management software
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and pass a criminal background check
- Security license or experience preferred
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, or bending may be required
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
- Ability to work in tight spaces and at ladder height
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures
