CMU Medical Education Partners (CMEP) is a joint partner with Central Michigan University (CMU), Covenant Healthcare, and St. Mary’s of Michigan. CMEP is located in Saginaw, Michigan, and is a separate nonprofit legal entity from CMU. The faculty of CMEP works collaboratively and interactively with the College of Medicine faculty at CMU to deliver an innovative curriculum to CMU medical students.

Position Information
The School of Communication, Journalism, and Media at Central Michigan University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in video and immersive media production at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position begins in August of 2025. The ideal candidate would have a background in immersive media (VR, AR, projection mapping, etc.), filmmaking, and digital media creation, including shooting, editing, and studio production. The position will teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, advise students, and develop new courses in the area of video and immersive media production.
Required Qualifications
- PhD, MFA or equivalent terminal degree completed by August 15, 2025.
- Experience using industry-standard tools to create immersive media.
- Experience in film or video production and evolving media trends.
- Experience in the classroom with an ability to teach video and digital media production.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suites.
- 2 or more years of experience teaching at the university level.
- A professional, creative, or research record in film or video production.
- Ability and comfort to teach other media-related courses.
