Lead and oversee interior design projects from conception to completion. Provide strategic direction, ensuring projects align with client goals and design standards.Conceptualization & Design Development:
Lead the development of design concepts, space plans, and aesthetic direction. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and translate it into compelling design solutions.Client Interaction:
Establish and maintain strong client relationships. Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, presenting design concepts, and managing expectations.Team Management & Collaboration:
Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and fostering professional development. Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the design process.Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Stay updated on emerging technologies and design tools relevant to the industry.Budget Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met. Provide accurate cost estimates and oversee the procurement of materials within budget constraints.Vendor & Contractor Coordination:
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to source materials and furnishings. Oversee the coordination of installations, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality workmanship.Quality Control :
Ensure that design solutions meet high-quality standards and comply with design specifications.Conduct regular design reviews and inspections during different project phases.Mentorship & Training:
Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and fostering a positive learning environment.Facilitate training sessions to enhance the skills of the design team.Continued Learning:
Stay informed about industry trends, new materials, and design innovations. Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to remain at the forefront of the design field.Networking & Business Development:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, industry professionals, and suppliers. Contribute to business development efforts, including participating in client presentations and proposal writing.Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to interior design.Ensure all design solutions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the strategic planning of the design department. Provide insights and recommendations for departmental growth, improvement, and efficiency.REQUIREMENTSEducation: Interior Design Degree from accredited program, NCIDQ certified (or in progress)Software: Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, InDesign, Bluebeam Revu and 3D modeling softwareEXPERIENCE & SKILLS10+ years of experienceStrong proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).Exceptional creativity, design aesthetic, and attention to detail.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Leadership experience, including managing and mentoring design teams.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Membership in relevant professional organizations and certifications are a plus.Why You Want to Work with UsChilders Architect is passionate about the work we do and the people entrusted to do the work.
