Job Description: Must Haves: Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school 8-10+ years experience in Civil 3D Experience in land development engineering and utility design, civil 3d surfaces and corridors, utility profiles Civil engineering design experience!!
Plusses: GIS Experience Certification in CAD software and specific Civil 3D platform Residential experience
Day to Day : The Senior Civil Designer will be the lead designer on a variety of engineering design projects related to residential and site infrastructure development. They will conduct and coordinate assigned engineering work with other project teams, monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards, and ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects. The day-to-day responsibilities are listed below: Proficient in CAD Standards and Civil 3D : Demonstrates extensive knowledge of CAD standards and advanced Civil 3D functionality. Model Development : Develops, modifies, and reviews models, plans, details, and drawings of engineering systems and design components according to established standards. Project Expertise : Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of complex residential and site projects, particularly in relation to site drainage, grading, and infrastructure constraints. Design Implementation : Implements specific project design criteria and coordinates with project design teams, including Engineers, CAD Designers, Technicians, and Sub-consultants, to ensure successful project completion. Project Coordination : Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates the design and technical aspects of assigned projects. Schedule and Budget Management : Assists Project Managers with overall project schedules and budget constraints from inception to completion. Quality Control : Ensures quality control of design elements and overall project deliverables before external release. Technical Problem-Solving : Identifies, interprets, and resolves technical project issues with minimal oversight. Regulatory Compliance : Analyzes, interprets, and stays updated on the latest regulations and criteria from local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
