Overview
The Paid Media Specialist utilizes various paid advertising platforms to manage search, display, social, and video campaigns across various channels including Google, Microsoft Ads, Bing, & Facebook. This role is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing campaigns for several divisions of Clayton. The Paid Media Specialist role encompasses on-brand ad copy creation, ROI based keyword research, multi-channel budget forecasting and pacing, and implementing best practice campaign structure across all Paid Search accounts. The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for identifying opportunities to expand visibility and profitability within each campaign in order to achieve departmental goals.
Paid Media Specialist Duties / Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize paid media campaigns for multiple business units with a budget up to $50,000 daily
- Campaign optimizations will include ad copy creation, keyword research and analysis, match type and negative keyword management, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audience development, placement.
- Utilize paid media management tools for budget pacing across search, social, display, video, and other 3rd party paid media vendors.
- Use landing page software like Visual Website Optimizer and Instapage to create, test, and continually optimize paid media landing pages.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance and trends weekly.
- Provide spend and optimization recommendations that align with business goals and KPIs.
- Apply knowledge of competitive landscape to keep pulse on new advertisers in Paid search via auction insights, impression share lost due to rank, and through the utilization of tools like Spyfu.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all aspects of the Digital Marketing Department and know the keys to driving collaboration and cross-channel success.
- Ability to understand and align downstream funnel flow and its functions after the digital conversion is made.
- Stay up-to-date on paid media advertising certifications opportunities (Google Ads, Search Ads 360, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ads), changes to the platforms, and best practices.
- Handle billing and processes invoices for all digital marketing paid media vendors (roughly five hours per month).
- Other duties as assigned.
Paid Media Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in Marketing / Business or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
- Certifications preferred: Google Ads Certified, Microsoft Ads Certified, Facebook Ads Certified, Google Analytics Certified, Search Ads 360 Certified, Ad Studio Certified, Datorama Certified.
- Strong Analytical/Math Skills and confident in handling large sets of data.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, managing all work with thoroughness, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Personable, team player committed to company’s vision.
- Self-starter, willing to learn, hard-working, determined, and assertive.
- Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy, and a clear, courteous, professional manner.
- Problem solving, troubleshooting and ability to analyze data to determine the appropriate action.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
