About the role
Under moderate supervision of a licensed interior designer, performs a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard design techniques for small and large projects. Exercises independent judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying standard design techniques and procedures.

What you’ll do

Collaborates with team to suggest finishes, fixtures, and furniture for projects
Collaborates with team in developing design solutions that meet the client’s needs on time and budget
Assists in design and documentation from Concept through the Construction
Builds graphic formatting and story boards for client presentations
Actively supports compliance with BIM project standards and procedures
Participates in presentations that communicate design concepts to the client
Coordinate specifications with drawings to meet project requirements
Produces or directs the creation of renderings and presentations
Works to master the development, continuity and detailing of design concepts
Develops high-quality drawing and documentation sets that are clear, comprehensive and consistent
Assists with vendor interface and coordination with library resources
What you’ll need
B.A. or B.F.A. in Interior Design from Council for Interior Design Accreditation curriculum or B.A. or M.A. in Architecture from accredited architectural curriculum (National Architectural Accrediting Board or Canadian Architectural Certification Board).
3+ yrs of Interior Design experience, including commercial, hospitality, retail, or other non-residential experience.
Academic background in Architecture or Interior Design
NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification or in process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to optimally present information.
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to tackle problems in standard. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
Proficiency in Revit, BIM360, and Enscape, Archicad preferred
Intermediate graphic and presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp
Understanding and application of design principles, theories, color and materials
