About the Company

We are building a networking and collaboration platform aimed at professionals, creators, and project builders. Our mission is to make it easy for innovators to publicize a project, find skilled collaborators, and start building a product. The MVP is already built and live on iOS. This is a pre-started business with massive growth potential. With the right team, we anticipate scaling to $10M in annual revenue within 5 years.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Design & UX Co-Founder to lead the creative vision, user experience, and visual identity of Jono. You will be responsible for defining how users interact with and feel about our platform—from branding and UI to feature flows and long-term product evolution. Additionally, having programming experience is a major plus. The ideal candidate will contribute to frontend development, particularly in React Native and AWS Amplify. This dual role offers the chance to not only shape the design but also help bring it to life.

This is a part-time role (~18 hours/week, 2-3 hours/day) to start, with flexibility. As the platform grows, your role will naturally expand into a leadership position in defining Jono’s product and technology strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define and Lead Jono’s Design Vision – Own the product’s UI/UX, branding, and visual identity.
• Own UI/UX – Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that make networking and collaboration seamless.
• Create Visual Assets – Design everything from app UI components to marketing materials.
• Research & Prototype – Work with users, test new ideas, and iterate on designs.
• Collaborate with the Tech Team – Work closely with our React Native developer to ensure seamless implementation of your designs.
• (Bonus) Contribute to App Development – If you have programming experience, help implement frontend features.
• Participate in Strategic Growth – Contribute to product planning, investor pitches, and company growth.
• Future Expansion – Eventually take on a leadership role in defining Jono’s product and development roadmap.

Requirements

• Strong experience in UI/UX design, product design, and branding.
• Experience with Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools.
• A deep understanding of user psychology and interaction design.
• Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Passion for startups, innovation, and designing impactful products.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and thinking process.

Bonus (Major Plus)

• Frontend development experience (especially in React Native).
• Familiarity with AWS Amplify (1+ month experience).
• At least 3 months of prior React Native experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to implement UI designs directly into the app.
• Open to learning and contributing to both design & development.

Compensation & Equity

• 15% Equity (Negotiable)
• No salary initially, but once we secure investment and revenue, the team will receive compensation.
• Expected revenue target: $10M per year by Year 5
• → Your 15% equity could yield $1.5M per year in revenue share at scale.
• Equity-based compensation to align incentives with long-term success.

Next Steps

Once we assemble our core team (Technical Co-Founder & Designer/UX Co-Founder), we will pitch to investors for funding, marketing budget, and hiring additional team members.
