As a
Technical Designer , you'll lead and drive client projects from concept through build, ensuring that we deliver unparalleled architectural solutions. You will collaborate with a team of architects and designers to develop innovative and resilient learning environments, manage technical documentation, and provide creative direction.
What You Will DoLead the creative efforts and develop overall design concepts and design presentation strategiesMentor and provide creative direction to design teamsAct as the primary design interface with clients and consultantsManage client, team, and project coordination, including full construction documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil, and other consultantsSupport communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsProvide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challengesProduce design concept drawings and finished design presentation documentationProvide code expertise for the project and the teamMaintain and write project manuals and specificationsReview drawings, mockups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractorsConduct Construction Administration duties, including documenting site visits, processing submittals, substitution requests, and RFIs during constructionParticipate in business development and marketing effortsYour Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited school10+
years of project experience in architectural design, with recent experience in education projects preferredStrong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship management skillsProficiency in Revit required; experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office encouragedWorking knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structuresLEED accreditation is preferredDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; portfolios should include at least one project with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification
