Overview
Job Title: Multimedia Designer
The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) is seeking a Multimedia Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team. This role involves creating engaging digital content to support student recruitment, retention, and branding efforts across various platforms.
Ideal candidates are creative professionals with a few years of experience, eager to grow. You will collaborate with the Marketing team and the President’s Office to produce high-impact multimedia content that tells the story of our students and community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic/multimedia, graphic design, visual communications, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including developing strategies for video content, planning, designing, producing, and troubleshooting digital media assets.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend activities and ability to travel to off-campus events.
Compensation: Within the posted range, determined by education and experience. Employees are generally hired in the lower third of the scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with the creative services director and chief marketing officer on digital media initiatives, proposing innovative ideas, managing project priorities, and creating strategies for video content to enhance recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
- Digital Media Production: Design, produce, and edit high-quality video and photo content for social media and the college website.
- Workflow Management: Oversee digital media requests, organize workflows, and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Client Collaboration: Act as liaison between Marketing & Communications and internal departments for digital media projects.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage external vendors for video and photography projects, ensuring quality and alignment with college objectives.
- Media Integration and Brand Consistency: Use multimedia tools to support marketing strategies and ensure all projects adhere to the college’s brand standards.
Additional Duties
Other duties may be assigned as needed, including planning and managing multimedia projects, maintaining digital assets, supporting digital strategy efforts, and overseeing interns and part-time staff.
