Job Description: We are seeking a
CAD System Coordinator
to enhance the production efficiency of our design team and provide expert-level CAD support. This role is integral in implementing CAD standards, optimizing workflows, and ensuring seamless collaboration across project phases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CAD software management and customization, as well as a strong understanding of national CAD standards and engineering technology tools.
Responsibilities: Provide hands-on CAD production support to design teams. Develop, implement, and enforce CAD standards. Optimize the CAD environment for efficiency and ease of use. Manage and support various CAD software tools. Assist with plotting and electronic file submissions. Interact with clients to establish and maintain project coordination standards. Lead CAD vendor management efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Education:
Associate Degree in Design Drafting preferred (or equivalent experience). Experience:
8+ years in CAD coordination and drafting within an engineering environment. Software Expertise: Autodesk File Management Systems (Vault & Docs) Autodesk CAD Tools (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, ReCap, Navisworks, Revit, etc.) Intergraph CAD Systems (CADWorx Plant, Structure, Equipment, etc.) Faro 3D Laser Scanning Software (Scene & Sphere) Revit MEP (Version 2016 or newer) Experience with electronic file transfers (FTP, SharePoint, etc.) Navisworks Manage for multi-discipline coordination Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of networking technologies and Microsoft applications. Experience with AutoCAD/BIM programming languages (preferred but not required). Previous BIM coordination experience (preferred but not required).
General Requirements: Ability to travel and work on-site at industrial client locations. Ability to comply with safety policies, wear PPE, and work in industrial environments. Pass background checks and drug/alcohol screenings per client requirements. Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
