If your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDraft and review various agreements, including asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, recording contracts, publishing contracts, producer agreements, songwriting agreements, tour agreements, and management agreements.Manage and oversee mergers and acquisitions in the music space, including music catalog sale due diligence.Handle corporate governance and investment documents, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and other related documents.Coordinate copyright due diligence and trademark searches in collaboration with IP counsel.Provide legal support for acquisition and sale deals, working closely with partners.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in the corporate and music sectors.Maintain strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the corporate and music industries.RequirementsJuris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in California.4-6 years of experience in prominent law firms' corporate and music departments or equivalent.Proven experience with asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, recording contracts, and other music-related contracts.Experience with music catalog sale due diligence.Demonstrated ability to handle mergers and acquisitions in the music industry and standard music transactions.SkillsStrong drafting and legal writing skills.Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Ability to work collaboratively with team members and partners.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in coordinating due diligence and legal research.Education and CertificationsJuris Doctorate (JD) required.Licensed to practice law in California.
