Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year College or technical school in marketing, graphic design, media or media production.
- Two years of directly related professional experience.
- Examples of work such as a portfolio of recent projects.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge and skill in the use of Adobe’s Creative Suite with an emphasis on After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs on Intel-based computers with XP Pro OS, MAC-based computers with OS X OS, and others.
- Ability to project a positive image of the Tribe and NQRC in appearance, attitude, and voice.
- Knowledge of message design, audiences, English, grammar.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of various professional video and still digital cameras, various professional lighting systems and methods, professional wireless microphone systems.
- Knowledge of and use of video server and scheduling technologies, especially Four Winds Interactive, a plus.
Other Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
- Must be willing to sign a legally binding non-competition contract that prohibits activity that directly conflicts with the integrity of Kalispel Tribe Economic Authority's business interests and its affiliate organizations as specified within the contract, for the duration of time listed.
Description
Summary of Functions
The Creative Media Coordinator will focus on motion graphic animation created in Adobe After Effects. Other skills that will serve the candidate well are videography, photography, non-linear editing, and creative copywriting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement the digital signage strategy and content to ensure integration with all utilized platforms (IGT, Social platforms, Delphi, etc.) under the guidance and direction of the Creative Media Strategist.
- Maintain, update and monitor digital signage zones and associated content.
- Create compelling content and story ideas for the digital media system, hotel in-room television system, music video systems, traditional signage, and new media with a focus on brand standard management.
- Work in collaboration with Creative Media Strategist, Marketing Managers to determine goals and offers while tracking results.
- Format/resize print and digital creative as needed.
- Edit, update, and correct messages in the system, ensuring timely messaging.
- Schedule appropriate times and locations for messages.
- Monitor all promotions to ensure proper and timely airing of messages.
- Provide storyboards and creative ideas to the Creative Media Strategist for messages, encouraging marketing up-selling and promotion.
- Provide reports of message activity and effectiveness to appropriate venues when requested.
- Identify technical problems with the broadcast system and notify proper personnel.
- Work with other departments, including franchise operations, to ensure appropriate signage for special events and everyday needs.
- Work with Broadcast Coordinator to schedule programs for broadcast when necessary.
- Edit videos for broadcast and digital signage.
- Coordinate with other departments for assistance with equipment and resources.
- Produce graphics, animation, and other multi-media elements.
- Maintain a consistent, regular good attendance record.
- Ensure control/protection of company assets.
- Ensure compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
- Participate as a panelist for Internal Review Hearings as needed.
- Provide guidance and training to all participants assigned to help with the NQRC broadcast system mission.
