Location: Any of the Following Offices (Remote Options Available) Albany, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Boston, Cleveland, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Irvine, Jackson, Jacksonville, Nashville, New Orleans, New York City, Providence, Seattle, Tampa, or Washington, DC Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Partner-Level Attorney to join a well-established, nationally integrated mid-size business law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a partner-level attorney with a substantial book of business to leverage the firm’s expansive platform and cross-selling opportunities to grow their practice with flexibility and autonomy. Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients across a wide variety of industries in creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and complex financial matters. Handle out-of-court workout negotiation and documentation for banks and commercial lenders. Manage state and federal court litigation, including commercial loan workouts, restructurings, and consumer bankruptcy litigation. Advise clients on contractual disputes, lender liability issues, dealer floorplan financing, and unfair trade practices claims. Assist with enforcement of loan and lease obligations, foreclosures, and complex commercial property matters. Provide counsel on mergers and acquisitions issues related to shareholder disputes, claims against officers and directors, and derivative actions. Qualifications:
Substantial and self-sufficient book of portable business (ideally $600,000+). Significant experience representing financial institutions in commercial bankruptcy, loan workouts, and restructurings. Expertise in creditors' rights, UCC security interests, and commercial litigation. Proven track record of business generation and growth. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Why Join?
