C & B Material Handling, LLC (part of the C & B Equipment family), a leader and supplier of choice in material handling equipment, automation solutions, and industrial equipment rental, is seeking an Instructional Designer in either our Sioux Falls, SD office or our Richmond, VA office.We are a dynamic company committed to enhancing our workforce through continuous learning and development. We are seeking a talented Instructional Designer with a passion for working with adult learners and experience in industrial settings. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for creating engaging and effective learning experiences, we want to hear from you.Instructional Design:Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop a variety of instructional materials, including eLearning courses, instructor-led training, job resource aids, and additional product resources.Create detailed instructional design documents, such as course outlines, storyboards, and scripts.Develop engaging and interactive content using a variety of multimedia tools and technologies to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.Apply instructional design theories, practices, and methods to create effective learning experiences tailored to adult learners in an industrial setting.Work closely with trainers, facilitators, and other stakeholders to ensure instructional materials meet learning objectives and are effectively delivered.Continuously evaluate and improve instructional materials based on feedback and learning outcomes.Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology to implement innovative solutions.Project Management:Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality instructional materials.Maintain organized project documentation and communicate progress to stakeholders regularly.Learning Management Systems (LMS) Management:Oversee the operation and maintenance of internal and external LMS platforms.Create and manage certification databases to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.Training Support:Support training administration tasks, including record-keeping, outcome reporting, scheduling, progress tracking, and pre-requisite reporting.Skills and Qualifications:Proficiency in content development tools and course development software.Strong understanding of instructional design theories and models.Proficiency in Microsoft 365.Experience with audio/video editing software.Excellent project management skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Experience working with adult learners in an industrial setting is highly desirable.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in an industrial setting.Demonstrated experience in developing instructional materials and managing LMS platforms.Qualified applicants must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check.
