The Sales and Marketing Manager oversees the operations, growth, and member satisfaction of the winery’s wine club while driving e-commerce and DTC sales. This role focuses on increasing membership retention, optimizing online sales channels, enhancing customer engagement, and ensuring a seamless experience for wine club members and online customers. The Operations Manager collaborates with the DTC team to enhance revenue growth and brand loyalty. Key Responsibilities: Wine Club Management: Develop and execute strategies to grow and retain wine club memberships through targeted promotions, referrals, and personalized experiences. Manage wine club fulfillment and shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Enhance the member experience by providing exceptional customer service and personalized communication. Analyze membership data to improve retention, engagement, and customer lifetime value. Plan and execute exclusive wine club events and experiences to strengthen member loyalty. DTC Sales & E-Commerce: Drive DTC sales by managing the winery’s e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless user experience. Optimize online storefronts, product listings, and digital marketing campaigns to increase sales conversion rates. Develop and implement email marketing and digital advertising strategies to promote online sales and special offers. Manage inventory, shipping logistics, and customer service for online orders. Monitor DTC sales performance, using analytics to refine marketing and pricing strategies. Marketing & Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the DTC team, including hospitality, to create compelling campaigns for both wine club members and online customers. Leverage CRM tools and customer data to personalize outreach and offers. Develop loyalty programs and exclusive promotions to retain high-value customers. Performance Tracking & Reporting: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to wine club growth, retention rates, online sales, and customer satisfaction. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and customer engagement. Identify areas for improvement and recommend innovative strategies to optimize revenue streams. Shipping and Fulfillment: Ensure all in-house shipping is completed promptly. Work directly with Wine Shipping-related matters. Monitor inventory levels and refresh as necessary. Review available “cold ship” options and establish summer shipping programs. Setup new SKUs with Wine Shipping and ShipCompliant when needed. Approve all Shipping related expenses. Place weekly wine orders for Tasting Room. Inventory oversight. Other: Ensure all collateral including tasting room, membership, e-commerce, and any other printed materials are up to date, organized and stocked as needed. Manage all website content. Inventory Management. Event calendars. Special Offerings. Featured Content. Ensure all marketing materials for wholesale are up-to-date, accurate, and produced in a timely manner. Qualifications:
Database management and entry experience required. Proficient in MS Office with an emphasis in Excel. Proficient in wine club CRM and Mailchimp/Klayvio. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and abilities. High level of memory retention and strong attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills. Knowledge of shipping and inventory management. Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and/or CRM software. A passion for wine and enthusiasm for learning more about different wine varieties, regions, and pairings is beneficial. Other: Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary for events and shipments.
