Identify driver and passenger challenges and ideate holistic solutions.
Work with PM’s to synthesize project details, product requirements, and user journeys, within the boundaries of technical constraints.
Collate the vast amounts of data and collaborate with the many subject matter experts within Ford to establish guiding principles for your designs.
Use Figma and other design tools to develop compelling user experiences in the form of user stories and wireframes.
Connect, collaborate, and contribute to a Design System and define best practices.
Prototype and validate interaction models through user clinics using hardware prototype and vehicle bucks.
Manage timelines and expectations for design deliverables.
Advance our UX vision through motion and prototypes.
Express our brand vision through user interface design for in-vehicle experiences.
Execute designs with a keen sensibility to layout, color, typography, and interactive behavior.
Employ a systematic approach to solving large, complex design challenges.
Present creative work early and often to key stakeholders in design reviews.
Work with cross-functional partners to get your designs implemented as designed.
You'll have…
Bachelor’s degree HCI or equivalent or a combination of education and equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in UX/UI product design
Even better you have…
Exceptional visual design skills
Sensitivity to intelligent system interactions
Understanding of Atomic Design principles
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Prototyping abilities (e.g. Figma, ProtoPie or similar)
Proficiency in human-centered design approaches, techniques, and philosophy
Automotive UI/HMI experience
Background in digital product design solutions
Excellent concepting, written, oral, and visual communication abilities
In-depth knowledge of the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
Experience creating and managing design systems at scale
Background working through iterative product design cycles
