Location: Hybrid – Remote with in-person site visits in Westchester County

Compensation: $30-$35/hour (depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Dwell & Oak Interiors is a boutique interior design firm specializing in full-service residential remodels and furnishings for active families. We believe beautiful homes should also be livable, and we create timeless, functional spaces tailored to how our clients live.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior Designer to support our Principal Designer and team with design execution, sourcing, project documentation, and client presentation prep. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s organized, proactive, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Support design development through mood boards, material boards, and space plans, 3-D models via Sketchup
• Source furniture, lighting, fabrics, and finishes from trade vendors
• Assist in preparing client presentations and design decks
• Attend site visits to take measurements and document progress
• Maintain organized project files, specifications, and sample library
• Assist with install day logistics
• Communicate professionally with clients and vendors

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in residential interior design or a related internship
• Proficiency in design software (SketchUp)
• Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail
• Ability to take initiative and manage time effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to travel locally and independently with a car within Westchester for measurement meetings or site visits at least 2x per week.
• Mondays and Wednesdays - In Office Hours
• Tuesdays and Thursdays - Site Visits and Measurement Meetings
• WFH Fridays!
