48 hours per week
Position Purpose:
To handle the weekly operations, maintenance and upkeep of large-room technical systems, train and disciple volunteers who use the more advanced systems in our buildings, and serve as the technical support for ministry services and events.
Main Responsibilities:
Sunday service infrastructure support (online, campus, & in-building)
Discipleship and training of volunteers in higher complexity level Sunday roles.
Event support to offset the rest of the technical team’s schedule
Maintenance of in-building AVL systems at MH and OF campuses
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the patching of the stage, soundcheck, etc. for weekend services
Coordinate technical needs and equipment for special events or retreats, oversee setup teams for those events.
Train WC volunteers on higher complexity systems such as video switchers, audio boards, etc.
Wiring, troubleshooting and maintenance of AVL racks and equipment at each campus
Handle purchases and integration of AVL equipment at Middleburg Heights and other campuses, and the sale, repurposing, etc of old equipment
Support Sunday services/ministry events that use the worship center, streaming, etc.
Network audio system management (Dante + Optocore)
Video system maintenance and programming (router/switcher)
Troubleshoot and support rooms such as the Venue, Middle School, etc. that have affiliated churches on Sunday mornings
Upgrade and maintain equipment used in youth rooms and for youth services/special events.
Proficiencies Needed:
3-5+ years experience with implementing and running audio, video, and lighting technical systems and leading volunteer teams in a live environment
Dante experience or certification is beneficial for the audio systems
Understanding of basic networking and routing for AVL systems
Willingness to learn new things and engage in a team-based environment
