The principal duties of the Director of Marketing include:
All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.Designing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the ACIR’s activities;Designing announcements for ACIR events;Disseminating information about events to ACIR members, those on the ACIR contact list, and through social and other media.This is a voluntary, non-paying position. The Director of Marketing also serves as a member of the ACIR Board of Directors.In exchange for giving ACIR a few hours of your time each week, you will have an opportunity to interact with ambassadors, foreign ministers, military leaders, prominent academics, national security experts, eyewitnesses to world events, as well as speakers on business and commercial issues that are playing a major role in foreign affairs.ACIR typically holds
10 luncheon meetings
a year and 6 or more evening events. Luncheons are usually held at the Capital City Club, 7 John Portman Blvd., Atlanta, GA from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Evening events are usually held at the offices of Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, 171 17th Street NW, Suite 2100, Atlanta, GA. These meetings are held during the ACIR season from September through June of each year.Board Meetings are held approximately 6 times a year, often immediately following a luncheon program. Attendance is required for a majority of the Board Meetings.
