Overview
Assist in organizing, executing and set-up of events related to entrepreneurship@DU.
*MUST BE AVAILABLE IN THE EVENINGS DURING THE WEEK TO BE AT EVENTS*
Live-stream event coverage on social channels.
Suggest and create new marketing projects and materials.
Aid in the management of social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) by developing and posting relevant and engaging content.
Interact with users, respond to messages, inquiries, and comments.
Establish relationships with the DU community through engagement with their social media content.
Increase awareness of E@DU events, resources, and student startups through marketing materials and live event coverage.
Co-working Space Support:
Ensure the Garage is organized, clean, well-stocked, and all items/machinery are functioning properly.
Close down the Garage in the evening.
Manage the Garage space calendar, including booking student clubs, scheduling events, and reserving space locations.
Provide in-person assistance to students, faculty, and staff, addressing their needs and questions.
Suggest and implement efficient methodologies to optimize the space.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Creativity and ability to bring new ideas to the table.
Familiarity with various social media platforms and devices.
Previous experience in marketing or studying marketing strongly preferred.
Experience in journalism, writing, graphic design, and Photoshop (preferred).
Ability to create a positive and welcoming environment for students.
Critical and creative thinking skills.
Dependable and proactive.
Required Qualifications:
Current DU undergraduate or graduate student located in the Denver area.
Available in the evenings during the week.
Willingness to complete tasks on-campus and at the Garage.
Strong interest in marketing.
Physical Activities:
Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.
Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
This position does not require a work-study award.
Students will be paid $18.29/hour.
In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
