Overview
The Graphic Designer develops visually compelling, original and creative graphic artwork through multi-channel campaigns to educate and engage audiences, earn stakeholder trust and achieve desired behaviors and outcomes. Assets could include digital static, HTML5 and OOH advertisements, email, the web, social media posts, direct mail, print ads, infographics and other tactics. Strong photography and video editing capability are needed in this role. Takes ownership for assigned subjects areas and products, achieving a deep understanding of the customer problem and developing visually unique ways to engage the audience. The role collaborates to inform visual strategy for assigned audience, topic and/or channel and provides suggestions to enhance creative materials using best practices, performance results and brand standards.
Skills:
2+ years of experience
• Technical background/education in visual communications and graphic design software tools and complex design skillset (Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office)
• Ability to understand Gas Operations work and translate technical material into more visual products
• Ability to understand MGSS requirements and translate and/or incorporate into the concept vision/planning and execution of developing more visual projects
• Excellent graphic design skills
• Photography and video editing knowledge (Adobe premiere pro)
• Ability to translate technical material to effective visual content for regulatory documentation
• Possess diverse skillset in design and web-oriented software/tools
• Ability to research and identify ideal technological solutions for project platform construction; translate experience and education in a variety of both design and web-oriented software tools into proposed solutions (on a project-by-project basis)
• Excellent editing skills; detail oriented
• Ability to design complex technical visual content
Education:
Bachelor degree; ideally in Visual Communications, Graphic Design or comparable design related area of study
