This candidate will develop a variety of news releases, news articles and social media for external audiences on behalf of the lab. The position will also interact with journalists on a regular basis.As a member of the media team, we’re looking for someone with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong writing and editing skills, AP knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to maintain good working relationships with NREL staff, the general public, and team members is crucial.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:+ Write moderately complex communications outreach content, including press releases, news articles, social media other materials for general review and editing.+ Incorporate content review feedback from colleagues and stakeholder to prepare for final release.+ Work with writers, editors, designers, and web content specialists and coders to publish materials.+ Support events, webinars, meetings, and conferences.+ Support media team reporting, metrics measurement, and analytics to help the team understand the impact of its work and share that impact with key stakeholders.+ Follow internal review processes to ensure work meets established standards, guidelines, and best practices.+ Ensure deliverables are completed on time.+ Serve as communications point of contact for assigned media outlets.+ Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders ..**Basic Qualifications**Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree or equivalent relevant education/experience. General knowledge and application of technical standards, principles, theories and techniques. Frequent application of industry concepts and principles. General knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, procedures and practices related to specific field. Skilled in problem solving, written and verbal communication.
