The Department of Music is seeking an Adjunct Professor to teach a selection of courses in the areas of strings, music history, and/or other courses, depending on departmental needs and candidate experience. The Adjunct Professor must have a demonstrated ability to teach courses in the area of strings and cultivate learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds.Normal Work Schedule: Varies depending upon schedule and need.Minimum Requirements
Master’s Degree or higher in Music or a related field, from an accredited institution.Two or more years of experience in a related field.Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate Degree in Music or a related field.Three years or more of teaching experience at the college level.Primary Responsibilities and Duties
The Adjunct Professor will teach assignments that will reflect the candidate’s skill set and department needs including:Teach a selection of undergraduate courses in the area of strings.Teach a selection of undergraduate courses in the area of music history and/or general education courses, depending on department needs and candidate experience.Salary: Salary commensurate with education and academic credentials.Open Date: 06/19/2024Close Date: 07/19/2024Required Documents
