The Assistant Director of Digital Engagement plays a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility and influence of Dartmouth’s executive leadership and main brand channels across social media platforms. They will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to elevate Dartmouth’s brand, engage our audience, and drive meaningful conversations.Required Qualifications - Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:3-5 years of experience in social media management.Strong understanding of social media dynamics.Excellent communication skills.Experience managing and responding to challenging interactions on social media.Creativity.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong understanding of social media platform algorithms and trends.Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive content for diverse audiences.Preferred Qualifications:Experience focused on executive and main brand channels.Experience creating and managing executive communications.Broad understanding of or interest in higher education issues.Social Media Management and Implementation:Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies focused on amplifying the presence and thought leadership of executive leaders across key platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant channels.Create compelling and engaging content tailored to the unique voice and perspective of executive leaders while ensuring alignment with the overall Dartmouth brand and messaging.Curate, create, and manage compelling and engaging content for the company’s main brand channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, to maintain a cohesive and unique online presence.Monitor and moderate online discussions on social media platforms. Respond appropriately to questions and comments and elevate to the appropriate departments as needed.Monitor social media channels for relevant industry trends, news, and conversations, and provide timely insights and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.Management:Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff on the social media team, fostering their professional development and helping them grow their skills and expertise in social media management.Assist in managing social media interns and freelancers.Emergency Communications:Updates and trains staff on the social media emergency communication plan.Provides support to campus security and others in identifying and monitoring potential issues.Participates in night and weekend on-call rotation for emergency communication.Equal Opportunity Employer:
