Access Services (circulation, service desk, interlibrary loan, and stacks maintenance)Research, Teaching and Learning (instruction, research support, outreach)Digital Scholarship Team (cross-unit strategy and advisory team)Responsibilities include organizational development, managing compliance with university HR policies, and library faculty promotion process.The successful candidate will drive student, faculty, and community engagement with the library, solve problems, and develop people. The position requires a vision for enhancing library engagement and supporting university priorities.Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership for the Research and Engagement Division- Supervise Head of Research, Teaching & Learning and Access Services Manager- Contribute to strategy, planning, and operational efficiency- Deliver user-centered services integrating into Marquette's research and teaching- Guide the Digital Scholarship Team- Coordinate human resources and employee development- Responsible for basic financial activitiesRequired Qualifications:- Master’s degree in library/information science- Minimum 8 years of librarian experience- Minimum 5 years in academic-library leadership roles- Leadership approach fostering mutual respect, collaboration, and creative thinking- Experience supporting research and learning needs- Familiarity with digital scholarship approaches- Ability to establish strategic campus partnerships- Engagement in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion- Familiarity with HR policies and procedures- Professional service and scholarly contributionPreferred Qualifications:- Experience with change management and HR policies- Support of digital scholarship in an academic library- Use of assessment strategies to improve library services
