As a
Mechanical Designer , you must have at least 5+ years of experience. As the Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing systems and components for industrial plant projects.Duties/Responsibilities:- Utilize CAD software to create mechanical drawings for basic and detailed engineering of company plant projects.- Proficiently use AutoCAD software and related Autodesk products.- Translate conceptual designs and sketches into detailed, engineered drawings suitable for purchasing, field erection, and design analysis.- Design layouts for plant equipment, piping, and utility systems.- Travel to job sites and fabrication facilities to analyze existing equipment, piping routes, and layouts, and ensure adherence to design specifications.- Undertake business trips and field assignments as required for departmental tasks.- Review mechanical drawings to ensure consistency with design concepts and requirements.- Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to suggest design improvements.- Work collaboratively with all company departments and employees to achieve consensus on assignments.Skills/Abilities:Required:- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft and Autodesk products.- Expertise in AutoCAD software.- Strong technical writing and interpersonal communication skills.- Ability to adhere to schedules and meet deadlines.Preferred:- Proficiency in 3D modeling design software.- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and list development for engineering.- Familiarity with P&IDs for piping design and checking.- Experience with international travel.- Background in industrial plant environments.Education and Experience:- Associate Degree in civil or mechanical discipline, or a minimum of five years’ hands-on experience in a technical field.Travel Requirements:- Up to 10% travel, both international and domestic, depending on project needs.Physical Requirements:- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Other Duties:
