The Design Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating, communicating, and assisting the design team with program administration for the JD North American Group. This individual will effectively exhibit JD Finish Line's core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties:
Responsibilities:Management Support: Assist management with ongoing projects, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are balanced effectively. Build strong relationships with design managers and team members, identifying areas where support is needed and completing assigned tasks with precision.Documentation and Data Management: Play a key role in documenting and managing data using tools like SmartSheets and Google tools. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to support the smooth operation of the design team.Asset Management Support: Collaborate with design managers to maintain and distribute design assets internally and across cross-functional teams. Ensure seamless access to essential resources, supporting the design process and delivery.Sample/FF&E Management Support: Assist in reviewing, organizing, and documenting FF&E efforts, including coordination with vendors and conducting material and product research. Help streamline processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in FF&E management.Department Communications: Manage departmental email correspondence, ensuring incoming messages are directed to the appropriate team contacts. Prepare outgoing communications on behalf of the team, maintaining clear and professional communication standards.Additional Duties and Projects: Take on additional duties and projects as assigned, contributing to the achievement of departmental goals and objectives. Embrace new challenges and opportunities for growth as you support the evolving needs of the design team.Experience and Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey information clearly and effectively.Exceptional organizational abilities, capable of maintaining order and structure in tasks and responsibilities.Previous experience in office or administrative roles, demonstrating familiarity with various administrative tasks.Proficiency in using productivity software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), or equivalent platforms.Effective time management skills, able to prioritize tasks efficiently and consistently meet deadlines.Required Education and/or Experience:
We are in search of an individual with one to two years of customer service experience and a demonstrated interest in design. The ideal candidate should hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent, coupled with 1 - 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Internal JD Finish Line experience is strongly preferred.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills:
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SmartsheetsFamiliarity with design platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or similar preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsPrevious office/administrative experience a plusPhysical Demands:
