The Marketing Intern will build a solid understanding of the Five Guys Brand and Marketing philosophy and practices. At the core, this person will be a brand ambassador who can effectively communicate the Five Guys marketing philosophy. This individual will also actively engage and participate in a few of the Marketing Initiatives (Secret Shopper, Gift Cards, Merchandising, Branding, Internal Communications, Social Media and Public Relations).

The primary focus of the internship will be gaining understanding and hands on experience in a majority of the Five Guys marketing initiatives including the Secret Shopper Program, Gift Card Program, Merchandising, Branding, Public Relations, Internal Communications and Public Relations. The person will do rounds with the lead on each of these initiatives. Time will be spent understanding the initiatives overall but also actively engaging in tasks and responsibilities involved with those roles.
The Marketing Intern will also be responsible for a project during their internship. The project will be determined at the beginning of the internship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works with other marketing staff members to understand all marketing and communications programs.
• Works to understand, develop, maintain and expand the Media Library.
• Becomes familiar with the data we collect and how we utilize the data.
• Responds to Secret Shopper inquiries.
• Drafts content/articles for the Patty Press.

General Intern Program Responsibilities:

• Complete an assigned project of significance focused in designated discipline and present findings to various stakeholders during the last week of the program.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university as a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Marketing
• Must have working knowledge with PCs, Windows 7/10/11, and Office 365.

Development Opportunities: In addition to working your position, interns will participate in practical skills training and networking opportunities to enrich their professional skills

Mentorship: Each intern will be strategically paired with a Mentor for guidance and feedback. Mentors provide invaluable guidance, support and learning opportunities that can enhance the intern's experience.

Intern Project: Interns will collaborate with their Department Managers, Mentors, Program Coordinator on a specific project based on their department. At the end, interns will present their project findings and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
