Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The Show Producer is responsible for developing and managing all project-related aesthetic, show, and guest-experience elements. The Show Producer defines and ensures compliance with Creative goals and intent, advises Senior Management on project status and issues, and acts as the Creative Lead on assigned projects, supervising staff and workloads to ensure successful project completion from concept to delivery.
Essential Responsibilities
- The Show Producer ensures the project's creative design intent is achieved in all guest-experience aspects, partnering with the team to develop, review, and manage scopes, contracts, costs, schedules, and work plans aligned with the creative goals.
- Manages design development, documentation, and interface with internal and external resources to ensure proper development and documentation of creative elements, including artwork, models, and design packages.
- Develops and manages work plans, estimates, schedules, and tasks for creative activities supporting project goals, ensuring appropriate resources are allocated.
- Plans and manages staffing, makes hiring and promotional decisions, evaluates personnel, and procures outside resources as needed, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
- Communicates and presents project concepts and design intent to various audiences, ensuring conformance with brand standards and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities per company policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Theatrical Arts, Theme Park Design, or related field preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in theme park design, management, or related media fields; experience as an Associate Show Producer for theme park attractions is required.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design, production, and management skills.
- Knowledge of design management, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
- Knowledge of theme park technologies and related architectural and project management practices.
- Ability to lead creative and technical teams, foster teamwork, and promote staff development.
- Independent decision-making skills; willingness to travel; excellent communication skills; positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
- Solid aesthetic sensibilities and storytelling skills.
- This is a full-time, on-site position at NBCUniversal.
This position offers benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and more. Salary range: $95,000 - $135,000 (bonus eligible).
