The Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President, Advertising Partnerships to lead and drive the company’s advertising growth through advanced ad technology, programmatic innovation, and business development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advertising technology, programmatic sales, and business development, with the ability to optimize advertising workflows, negotiate partnerships, and future-proof our ad sales strategy. This position reports directly into the Senior Vice President, Global Ad Sales & Strategy. Minimum 3 days in the office, per the department’s schedule. Location: Burbank, CA or New York, NY Key Responsibilities Advertising Technology & Operations Develop and implement strategies to improve ad tech efficiency and reduce operational costs, including ad servers, ad stitching, and channel delivery. Evaluate and optimize data-driven advertising solutions to enhance ad sales offerings, including measurement, attribution, and audience targeting. Support direct sales efforts with ad operations, data collaboration, media spend measurement, and insights to drive revenue growth. Identify opportunities to enhance monetization strategies through innovation in ad technology, sponsorships and workflow automation. Programmatic & Inventory Management Oversee programmatic strategy with a deep understanding of SSPs, DSPs, ensuring cost-efficient and scalable long-term growth. Understanding of the advertising agency and client eco-system. Develop pricing and inventory strategies to maintain a consistent rate card across the market and support direct sales teams. Work closely with product, distribution and operations teams to ensure programmatic infrastructure aligns with business goals. Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Lead business development efforts across ad tech, content, distribution, and programmatic partnerships to maximize revenue opportunities. Leverage deep industry experience to renegotiate and improve commercial terms with platform partners, securing premium inventory access. Establish and evolve an ad tech product roadmap to ensure a future-proof advertising model aligned with industry trends. Collaborate with linear TV sales team and brand solutions to drive cross-platform advertising initiatives and sponsorships. Identify and execute strategic deals that drive new revenue streams and enhance the company’s advertising capabilities. Essential Skills and Experience 10+ years of experience in advertising technology, programmatic sales, and business development. Deep understanding of the ad tech ecosystem, including ad servers, SSPs, DSPs, and measurement solutions. Proven experience in negotiating and managing high-value programmatic and platform partnerships. Strong knowledge of pricing models, inventory management, and ad operations and monetization strategies. Ability to work cross-functionally across sales, product, and operations teams to execute scalable advertising initiatives. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills. The pay rate for this position is between $215,000.00- $230,000.00 annually, plus applicable overtime, exclusive of any bonuses or other incentive compensation (if any).
