We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Graphic Designer, Mercury
to join our team, responsible for creating engaging graphic content that drives promotion of the Phoenix Mercury. Daily focuses include working across a variety of mediums from digital and print collateral and will include but not limited to; social media, sales collateral (digital and traditional), invites, mock-ups, arena signage, logos and more.
What You Will Do:
Support the Phoenix Mercury by creating first class graphics that will be delivered to various platforms including social media channels, digital web ads, in-arena digital displays, merchandise, and large format print among others.Play a key role in creating and developing campaign guidelines for the Phoenix Mercury.Contribute to creative collaboration with the Mercury leadership teams in delivering impactful creative based on the organization goals and objectivesContribute to the creative design process by bringing innovative ideas and creative solutions, contributing to the overall success of the team.Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines.What We Need From Our Graphic Designer, Mercury:
Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere ProA passion for the WNBA and/or women’s sportsIllustration and hand craftmanship skills are preferred but not requiredDeep understanding and ongoing curiosity of design trendsUnderstanding of typography, layout design, composition, color theory and information design principalsExperience with project management tools like Asana, monday.com, JIRA, Wrike, etc.Strong team player able to collaborate with a team of creativesExcellent organization and time management skillsAbility to multitask and meet tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills and clearly able to articulate design ideasAdhere to brand guidelines in ways that still push creative boundariesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionBasic videography/production/still graphics skillsComputer literate in a Mac environmentExperience/ Education Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or other relevant field3+ years of Creative Design experience in the sports design industry, or similar fieldProvide strong portfolioExtremely detail oriented and adherence to strict file structure guidelinesCapable of following print specifications and digital requirements for constructing filesThe ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and oral communications, as well as strong organizational skillsThe ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including weekends, evenings, and holidaysWhat You Can Expect:
