Our Greater Boston area client is looking for a Packaging Specialist with 3+ years of experience for an immediate long-term contract; this role is onsite two days a week. You'll need strong production skills and recent packaging design experience within the past 12 months. Additionally, a strong understanding of design layout and typography is required. Photo direction experience is a big plus! Overview The Packaging Specialist is an integral member of a cross-functional team responsible for delivering trend-forward brand packaging solutions, enabling brands to evolve across our global divisions. You will develop and ensure the quality and timely delivery of all packaging and branding across categories. The role involves partnering with the Senior Packaging Specialist and collaborating with Product Development, Vendors, Agents, GBOs, and Buyers to create successful brand packaging. Responsibilities Partner with the Senior Packaging Specialist to create compelling brand packaging that adheres to established guidelines for various products (boxes, hangtags, labels, etc.). Compile and release visual tools/artwork requested by internal and external clients. Oversee the entire process from conception to shelf, including approvals and successful execution of all components before press and delivery. Communicate with product development and internal teams throughout the design process, including reviewing and proofing packaging. Ensure all category deadlines are met, both internal and external. Collaborate with the Senior Packaging Specialist on photography and related requirements for packages. Assist in designing and executing prototypes for presentation and approval. Perform any assigned special projects. Qualifications BFA or related degree in design preferred. Minimum of 4+ years of design-related experience. Excellent sense of color, typography, and style. Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects, and work well under pressure.
